MOCK OXFORD AND MITRED OXFORD:
WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE?
When choosing the perfect pillowcase, it’s helpful to know the difference between a mock Oxford and a mitred Oxford style. A mock Oxford pillowcase features a decorative fabric border around the edges, but without the stitched corner detailing—offering a clean, elegant look with a slightly relaxed feel. In contrast, a mitred Oxford pillowcase has a more tailored finish, with precisely sewn mitred (angled) corners that add structure and sophistication. Both styles enhance the appearance of your bedding, with the choice depending on whether you prefer a soft, casual edge or a sharp, formal touch. We also offer a range of embellished trims that can be added to these pillowcases to elevate their look. However, due to the way each style is manufactured, some embellishments may only be compatible with either the mock or mitred Oxford style.
